What is Winning Magazine? Who is it for and what does it cover?
This is a new magazine, which launched in June 2019. Driven by publisher John Winning’s pioneering spirit and passion, Winning magazine celebrates all aspects of inspired living and inspires readers to create memorable experiences in and out of the home. Luxury these days is not only about possessions and treasures - it’s also about feelings, memories and attitude.
Winning is for women and men with an appreciation of quality lifestyle and design, in and out of the home. It celebrates craftsmanship, design, and exclusivity while respecting heritage, tradition and the stories that matter to fully embody values of modern luxury. Each issue covers news and features centered on the home, food, wine, travel, fashion, motoring, technology, health and wellness, and much more.
What's the best part about being the editor of Winning Magazine?
Where do I start? Honestly, there’s never a bad day in the office. I love the fact that we took the market by surprise with our launch and I hope we continue the element of surprise with each issue.
The magazine redefines reporting on luxury. Sure, it’s informative, entertaining, and in-depth but it’s also surprising, unconventional and addictive. We deliver intelligent content but do it differently. For us, style and substance go hand in hand with humor and charisma. You can read about minimal intervention wines as well as V8 Ferraris. You can find out which is Australia’s top oyster and see if it’s possible to fake charisma. It’s the mix of content which sets us apart.
What can readers expect from future issues of Winning Magazine?
The magazine covers news and features centered around the home, food, wine, travel, fashion, motoring, technology, health and wellness and much more. We’ve got an interview coming up with uber-chef Gordon Ramsay coming up, as well as the latest developments in electric vehicles. We’ll look at drought-resistant wine varietals and see how drones will infiltrate our every day. We will take you, vicariously, to Tibet and Africa, chat with Roger Federer about his new sneaker empire and look at how culture stress is killing our mojo. We’ll also profile all those captains of industry, those trailblazers and innovators who say “Yes” in a “No” world. No boxes, no pigeon holes, no limits.
If Winning Magazine had a motto what would it be?
Explore, surprise, engage.
Luxury isn’t just about goods and objects (although those things are nice too!) and purchasing power, but it’s about memories, experiences and taking a more holistic approach to living a life of distinction. We call it Life. Elevated.
