The best Father's Day gift is obviously time with family. My children and wife do a pretty good job of looking after me on Father's Day, but if you’re looking for something more than another “World’s Best Dad” mug, I reckon you can’t go past any one of the following: a handy pocketknife, a good bottle of local rum, or (how can I not plug it?) a subscription to R.M.Williams OUTBACK magazine.
1. Different knives have different uses; a great allrounder that’s always in my pocket is the Victorinox Tinker. Simple, useful and a great buy right now from Knife Shop Australia. Victorinox Tinker Knife
2. As for the Rum, the Hoochery up in Kununurra has been making excellent rums since founder Spike Dessert set up his still utilising Ord River sugar cane more than 25 years ago. It’s a family-owned-and-run affair, and it’s great rum. Hoochery Rum
3. And reading matter – well, I hope there’s space for OUTBACK in your hearts. Throughout more than 20 years, we’ve stayed true to a central task – telling the stories of the bush and focusing on the positives that can be found and shared in that storytelling. R.M.Williams Outback Magazine
